PRE-TAN

SHOWER

It's recommended to shower regularly the day before your tan. You will not be able to wash your body, face or hair during your first shower post-tan. It's recommended to use a spray tan friendly body wash. DO NOT USE DOVE BODY WASH OR SOAP!

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliate your entire body 24 hours prior to your appointment. This is the most important step! If exfoliation is skipped or not done properly, the solution will be applied to dead skin cells that will shed causing discoloration and blotchiness. If you exfoliate too close to your appointment there is a chance that the solution will sit on the surface of your pores resulting in tiny brow dots.

HAIR REMOVAL

Hair removal needs to be done 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. (shaving, waxing, etc.) If you shave or wax too close to your appointment there is a chance that the solution will sit on the surface of your pores resulting in tiny brow dots.

MOISTURIZE

You want moisturize your entire body every day leading up to your appointment. Please do not moisturize your skin the day of your appointment. It's recommended to use a spray tan friendly moisturizer.

BEAUTY PREP

Schedule all beauty services 1-2 days prior to your appointment. (nails, facials, massages, waxing, brows, lashes, etc.) A spray tan is the LAST THING you do on your beauty prep list!

DAY OF YOUR TAN

SKIN PREP

If you need to shower the day of your appointment, allow at least 5 hours in between. Your shower should be a warm water rinse only without any products. This ensures that the skin will be fully dry and there are no lingering products that can act as a barrier and prevent the proper absorption of the solution.

Do not apply any products to your skin the day of your appointment. (make up, lotion, oil, deodorant, perfume, etc.) These products create a barrier that prevents the proper absorption of the solution and can cause discoloration and blotchiness. Deodorant will cause green discoloration under the arm pit area.

WHAT TO WEAR DURING YOUR SESSION

Please keep in mind that what you wear during your session determines your tan lines.

Recommended Clothing During Your Tan: Bra, strapless bra, pasties, bathing suit, underwear, thong.

WHAT TO WEAR AFTER YOUR SESSION

Wear or bring loose-fitting, dark clothing and opened toed shoes to put on after your tan. Solution does come off of most clothing and fabrics when washed.

Recommended Clothing Post-Tan: Long sweatpants, sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, loose strapless dresses, flip flops, slides, slippers.

Avoid wearing tight fitting clothing after your tan. (Leggings, yoga pants, tank tops, work out clothes, jeans, etc.) These types of clothing will rub against your skin and interfere with the absorption process of your tan. No bra should be worn after unless one was worn during your session.

POST-TAN

AVOID

Avoid contact with water and refrain from any activities that may cause you to sweat until your first rinse.

Avoid touching any part of your body until your first rinse. It can cause discoloration and stain your palms and fingertips.

WARM WATER RINSE

After waiting the designated amount of time RINSE your tan off using lukewarm water only. Don't use any products during the rinse. When rinsing, the cosmetic bronzer will come off which is normal. Use your hands and gently rub your entire body in circular motions to ensure you get all of the cosmetic bronzer off of your skin. Rinse until the water in the bottom of the shower becomes clear.

Signature Tan: 8-12+ hours before rinsing for the best results.

Rapid Tan: 2-5 hours before rinsing for the best results.

AFTER YOUR RINSE

Pat dry with a towel. Do not rub! You want to continue to pat dry after each shower and any time you get wet for the duration of your tan.

SOAP SHOWER

You can shower regularly 24 hours after your warm water rinse. Over those 24 hours the active ingredient in the spray tan solution, DHA, will fully develop and you will see your true tan results.

When shaving, use a new razor without a moisture strip (if possible), be gentle, and avoid the use of shaving/hair removal creams for the duration of your tan.

WORKING OUT

You can resume working out after your first soap shower.

When you sweat, always be sure to pat dry, do not rub!

TAN MAINTAINANCE

MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURZE!

Moisturize your skin twice a day with a spray tan friendly moisturizer and drink lots of water! The KEY to a long lasting tan is staying hydrated from the inside out!

WEAR SPF

A spray tan does not contain any SPF and will not provide your skin with sun protection. Please wear sunscreen when out in the sun. If you get a sunburn and your skin starts to peel, the spray tan will peel off and result in an undesirable tan.
